This is the first guitar oriented song that I've done. I wanted something in even time with a slight odd time feel. This was a difficult song to record and mix for me. Hopefully I got it somewhat right. I didn't have anything specific in mind when writing the lyrics. I just wanted a somewhat industrial dystopian feel to them. The title is a small no to Ayn Rand.
lyrics
It just won’t stop
Every time
I turn around
Just the same old thing
With a brand new name
The pressure builds
Soon we’ll see
What we can take
Time to think of
Where to put the blame
There’s no release
An ebbless tide
That’s coming in
If the levy breaks
Nothing stays the same
Say Goodbye to all you remember
Say goodbye to all that’s lost
Say goodbye to all that is special
Say goodbye to everything
What can I do
Now that I’m here
Among it all
Trying to keep myself
From getting swept away
How will I know
How to procede
Without penalty
I don’t know the rules
I don’t want to play
Is this what you want to be
Part of a machine
Without reason
A member of the hive
A shared collective mind
Just a number on a screen
One that doesn’t dream
About treason
A one for the all
Just another thrall
How does it feel
To have everything
In front of you
With no idea of
What to choose
How will it end
No way to know
What’s gonna be
Just wait and see
If we win or lose
Question why to all you remember
Question why to all that’s lost
Question why to all that is special
Question why to everything
This isn’t what I want to be
Part of a machine
Without reason
A member of the hive
A shared collective mind
Just a number on a screen
One that doesn’t dream
About treason
A one for the all
Just another thrall
Life without you
Would be the death of me
As I cease to see
Any reason to take
One more step
That thing you do
That gives breath to me
When I’m in need
And cannot see
What I must accept

Carry me Kerry is a true gem a rainbow if you will. This album hits hard, robs enthrallment with the process translates genuinely. Off the charts, my #1 release of the year so far will be nearly imposible to top. Louis D.

Absolutely beautiful! 'Moon' will especially take you away to where you need to be. Great interplay, the slow breathing dragon jam in Moon is really something else. 'Lion' is a jam on another level...perfect pace and rhythm. 'Deer' closes it out just exactly perfect. This album is all smiles, quality. wow. HUGE THANKS !!! Geese ~ We Fly The North. tpace
